(Strong),
Phobia (soft, small, furry, cute things; Strong), Obsession-Build the

Symbionics +2, Ancient Lore +1, Dodge +1, Handgun (Autopistol) +1
Equipment: Light Carapace Symbsuit Armor (Ganglionic Link,
Darksight
Implant), Knife, Autopistol, 8 Autopistol reloads, First Aid Kit, Kurog
(see below)
Appearance: A short, balding man with a bulging forehead and a goatee.
Background: Mezro, had he come from any other Genclan in
Hydra, would be
considered clinically insane. The other Steins consider him merely
obsessive. In true House Stein tradition, he stormed out of the
Stein
Tower in a fit of rage after his first biomonster was defeated in the
great games, vowing that he would "make them all pay". Not being
a
complete fool, his fit of rage was delayed long enough for him to embezzle
enough credits from his Master to establish a new biolab.
The new biolab was established in Janus, where
he felt he would be
safe from "the prying eyes of those Stein fools who fear me and seek
to
profit from my genius". He set himself up as a doctor and a dealer
in
custom symbionics, and used this role to look for new subjects to
experiment upon - typically lower class individuals who would never
be
missed. His failures did not discourage him, and the waste of
life did
not bother him. After all, he was the rightful ruler of House
Stein, was
he not? When the fools recognized that, he would lead them to
their
rightful place as the Lords of Waste World, with Mezro the 1st as their
Emperor.
Unfortunately, Mezro ultimately chose the
wrong test subject. Just as
his finest creation (the biomonster he named Kurog) was decanted, a
skavver gang burst into his laboratory seeking their leader.
Kurog
destroyed the gang, but the lab was destroyed in the fight.
Mezro was last seen traveling by land in the
region of Janus,
contemplating the addition of cybernetic systems to Kurog to make it
even
more fearsome. He has not been seen since, although rumors have
it that
he is currently in the habzone of Toxic Springs.
Personality Quirks: Mezro insists upon being called Emperor
Mezro,
although the less formal "Your Highness" is also permitted. He
does not
take action if this is ignored, although he tends to sulk. He
also
refers to his companions as his minions; and often "promotes" those
he
becomes friends with to positions of authority in his (soon to be
achieved, he insists) empire.
Adventure Use: Mezro could be introduced to any party looking
to hire a
field medic for an expedition, as he is a fairly skilled doctor.
He also
makes a good individual to own and operate a medical or symbionic clinic
anywhere outside of Hydra.
Mezro could also be used as a villain, whether
competent or comedic.
He has in the past used Kurog to intimidate skavver gangs into accepting
his leadership, and he could be using this tactic to create an army
of
skavvers (which will sooner or later be turned into symbionically-enhanced
warriors or into biomonsters) with which to conquer Waste World.
It is
unlikely that he would ever become a threat to a Metrozone, but he
could
conquer a few habzones.

Special Powers: Giant, Armor (5), Fangs, Poison (Kill 3), Dark Sight
Disadvantages: Obedience to Mezro (Total), Ugly, Phobia - Heights (Strong)
Skills: Unarmed Combat (Fangs) +2, Weapon Implant (Bioblaster)
+2, Dodge
+1, Heavy Weapons (Autocannon) +1, Edged (Sword) +1, Bludgeon (Club)
+1
Equipment: Ganglionic Link, Mega-Bioblaster Implant (2M+1), Saddle
Appearance: Large. Very large. Once you get
past that, Kurog is very
ugly, covered in chitinous plates, and has really big carnivorous fangs.
Most people don't even notice the bioblaster in his chest, because
they're
looking at the fangs. Kurog was created to be able to put a human
head in
it's mouth, after all.
Background: Kurog remembers nothing before it was Kurog.
There is a
possibility that Kurog was once the leader of the above-mentioned skavver
gang, but it has no memory of that or any desire to remember.
Kurog is
Kurog, and it is very content about that.
Mezro uses Kurog as a riding animal as well
as a killing machine. He
sits in the saddle, and occasionally uses the ganglionic link to take
over
and drive Kurog himself. Kurog doesn't mind this, and actually
becomes
depressed if it doesn't get to carry it's master for a while.
Personality Quirks: Only speaks in monosyllables and in
the third person.
Except for when it is describing what it will do to hurt someone, at
which
point Kurog becomes quite talkative. Very protective of Mezro.
Adventure Use: Kurog will be wherever Mezro is.
