Lita built a Tennyson and 'bashed' hers. She believes that all dollhouses
should have bathrooms, so she added one in the attic. She also added stairs
up to the third floor. On the first floor, is a living room and a front room (stair room). On the second floor is a sitting room and a kitchen/dining room. She put a wall in the attic, partitioning it into a bedroom and a bathroom. The attic is cozy, but the essentials fit.
This house reminds her of a lone row house.
The picture to the left shows the house when it was displayed at a show.
Lita sold this house. The music box piano was a gift from her mom, and the living room furniture was very similar to what she used in her real house, so she could not part with those pieces.
Before she sold the house, she made new living room furniture from scraps.
The brick fireplace, bookshelf, and little table in the sitting room were
scratch built. She had blankets, sheets and pillows on the bed in the attic.
All the rest of the furniture was purchased or made from simple kits.
She replaced the windows in the hutch/desk with stained glass printed
on transparencies.
The picture to the right is the how the house looked when she sold it. She didn't really like this house all that much, but missed it when it was gone.
I think that Lita did a lovely job with this Tennyson!
