When I purchased the terrarium, I knew that the walls were too short for
a 1/12th scale person. So, I planned on building a new base for the
glass top so that I could make the walls taller. The base is made of wood,
and the glass sets on the top edge of the 'tray'. The top trim of the
base holds the glass snugly in place.
The floor was fun to do! I made the pavers from Creative Paperclay.
The greenhouse needed furniture. JohnE donated the blue bench. Pat M
donated the work bench, which was made by Ann B. I sent size specifications
to Ann, and she created and donated the ivory shelf unit. I made the pale
blue shelving unit and the lattice screen. Ann and I had discussed colors,
and they all worked out nicely together. Ami also donated a pair of resin
pedestals, which are not shown in this picture.
