I still need to build furniture for this room. I purchased a set of inexpensive bunkbeds, because I envision that this room will be a children's room. I made quilts for the beds, and used the same pattern ("Trip Around the World") but one quilt is done in blues and purples, and the other is done in blues and greens. I was suprised that I actually finished both quilts. Usually if I make one of something, I have no desire to make a copy. I like trying new things.

The weird chair in room is similar to one I made for my friend Sandy D, who is hoping to make a "70's Tacky" roombox. I designed some 'smiley face' fabric, and printed it on iron-on T-shirt transfer paper to adhere to fabric. The resulting fabric felt similar to vinyl, which I thought was quite appropriate for such a chair. It was a fun project to do.

This is an old photo, but I am leaving it here, since it shows one of the stained glass windows I made by printing onto a transparancy. Jim Collins has tips on his web page for making stained glass using this method.
